(More customer reviews)Well, I knew I went out on a limb by buying something that had not yet been reviewed. So let me be the first to review this one from Orion Gadgets, since I've been generally frustrated at the overall lack of decent covers/protectors out there for the Motorola Droid.
The bottom line with this screen protector is that it simply does not cover the whole screen. It's about 1.5 mm too short (the width is okay). Now at first I wasn't too upset with this drawback since it at least appeared to cover the actual touch screen portion of my Droid. But after about 15 minutes trying to center this thing perfectly, I became very annoyed when I could not set it correctly over the entire Droid screen due to it being undersized.
This main reason this is a problem is because if you line up the Droid speaker to the slotted speaker opening on the screen protector, the bottom of the screen protector won't completely cover the 4 bottom Droid buttons (only covers about half). And if you set it lower to cover the 4 bottom buttons (as it should), you'll cover almost half of the Droid speaker with the screen protector. When I finally set the screen protector to the best possible place I could, it's still mismatched. The protector now leaves a "lip" hanging over the Droid speaker that now collects lint and dust from my pocket every time I take my phone in and out.
When a company asks a customer to spend almost $9.00 for what ultimately amounts to a pre-cut clear sticker, you'd think that the company would actually take the time to accurately measure the dimensions of the screen it's meant to protect. At that price, it's not too much to ask to have a PERFECT fit for the Droid screen (as advertised). Fail.
