The instructions are very detailed and point out that you must use soapy water to attach the XtremeGUARD to the device!? I didn't realize that I was tinting my windows on my car?!
I think that using any type of liquid, especially soapy water, to fix a screen/body protector to a $600 device is borderline silly. Don't users go out of their way to avoid liquids, even in very small amounts?
After attaching the "guard" to the device, you may experience some "film" or "cloudy" appearance that is said to last up to a couple of days. I found that to be unacceptable.
All of the "guards" come on flat index card style sheets that are pre-cut. You must remove them one by one (fingers wet as to not leave prints) and place them on the device (while squeegeeing the air/liquid out) - all this with several of the "punch outs" on the "guards" failing to be completely punched. An example of this would be the multiple holes for the noise canceling microphones on the "X". If the punch outs are not completely punched (and they were not), you just don't have the availability of your microphone as it is now covered. I attempted to use a pen to "help" remove the punch out, but it was not cut enough for that to happen.
I ended up removing the "guard" from my "X" since I would consider it to be unsatisfactory in every aspect.
