Very snug fit. I had a little trouble putting the grey backing over the green case because the rubber/silicone is bulk to provide the shock/bounce protection. But it took no more than 3 tries within 5 minutes to get it on properly.
I try not to let expensive gadgets fall in general but it fell last night and it didn't sound like a phone falling and hitting the ground. The case did provide protection...the screen remained on and on the application I was working with. (breathe sign of relief)
The front of the case has a little lip so you can rest your phone face down on a level surface and be sure that it won't scrape screen or keyboard. All the buttons and access points are accessible and workable. My 8320 has the little silver section under the flash and lens so you can do self portraits, that is blocked by the case....but using your own hand how off can you be to do a self-portrait??!! so I don't miss it.
MARCH 2011: So the second time it fell, it fell from my lap to the floor (I was sitting), AND BROKE!! To me the distance was too short to have that effect so that's why I dropped my rating. So the top corner over the hole for the earpiece is cracked. I have two (2) of these cases - second one for a 8520 - and that phone fell at the same time too and it broke about the same spot as well. I guess it's an area of weakness given the thin line of hard plastic to go around the phone's access points. But being cracked, I know that the phones are not as protected from any future falls. Looking at Otterbox!
