(More customer reviews)I purchased this case as a replacement for the Body Glove case for the HTC Incredible. The Body Glove case shattered upon impact when dropped from a height of about 1 foot onto the hardwood floor in my apartment. The phone was fine because it landed on an area rug, but the case was destroyed. One foot drop. Not acceptable.
Enter the Otterbox Commuter Case. It was highly rated, but it was also quite pricey. No matter, I wanted something to protect my phone which I use mulitple time daily - so the cost was justified. The Otterbox came in a three-piece system: screen protector, silicone condom sleeve, and hard plastic outer shell.
Pros: The case is durable, protects the phone very well, has a slim/thin profile, buttons (on/off, volume rocker) are easy to press, the headphone/charger jacks are protected from the elements with the silicone jack knobby things (whatever they are called), is easy to put on and take off, is thick enough that the camera lens is recessed - so it is very well protected, does not stick in my pocket because the plastic outer case is slick.
Cons: Hard plastic case is almost too slick...slips out of my hands and off the table from time to time, phone gets very hot - dunno if that is because of the silicone condom or if it's because I'm running the new Froyo software update.
Overall, I am happy with the Otterbox case so far. Only had it for about 2 months now. Will update this review if necessary.
