(More customer reviews)Buyer beware. This was purchased on May 7th, now it's June 29th and it's being discarded. I would have given it only one star but for the fact that it's nicely made for what it is. My wife used this case to keep her phone in her purse and it protects it very well.
When we first loaded the DROID into the case we found it very difficult to slide the keyboard into the soft plastic part. I found I needed to put an uncomfortable amount pressure sliding the keyboard part down into the clear plastic. I worried about jeopardizing the "sliding mechanics" between the keyboard fittings and the DROID'S main unit. (As you can see in the pictures, they designed the case for you to slide the clear soft plastic BETWEEN the keyboard and the upper part of the unit.) When you want to use the kybd, you're sliding the edges of the kybd back and forth over the soft plastic. Bad engineering! Hard plastic eventually trumps soft plastic and the keyboard eventually got hung up on various edges of the plastic.
Finally, last night, It stopped working all together because my wife's simply in the habit of using the sliding keyboard most of the time to text. Her DROID became badly stuck in the closed position, over the plastic. I had much difficulty, and spent spent my time, carefully, and forever, liberating her DROID from the case.
I feel the best case for a DROID is a simple, well made, flip-over belt-clip case that allows you to pull the entire unit out for useage. This is what I use for mine. A case like that will also work in a purse for protection. In my humble opinion, don't ever purchase a case for your beloved DROID that's designed to have a plastic part going in-between the keyboard and main unit. Bad idea!
